  Significant Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Conditions will remain very warm and humid tonight with
temperatures only expected to fall into the middle 70s to around
80, warmest in and just outside of the city of Chicago.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday Evening through Thursday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Expect dangerous heat to continue through Monday with peak heat
indices again between 100 and 105 degrees.

Periodic thunderstorm chances exist Monday evening through the
end of the week. The strongest storms may be capable of damaging
winds and localized flooding.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT /1 AM EDT/
MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heat index values of up to 105 to 110 degrees occurring
  this afternoon and peak afternoon heat indices of 100 to 105
  degrees expected on Monday.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
  northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

* WHEN...Until midnight CDT /1 AM EDT/ Monday Night.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heat impacts will be worsened by consecutive
  days of hot and humid conditions, with overnight lows in the mid
  to upper 70s providing limited relief.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
