The heat index will reach around 100 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast Friday evening into Friday night. There is a level 1 of 5 (marginal) risk for severe weather with those storms, mainly from damaging wind gusts. In addition, storms may generate heavy rainfall leading to localized urban flooding.
