Heat and humidity will continue across central and southeast IL today, with highs highs in the lower 90s and afternoon heat index values peaking between 96 and 103 degrees. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Heat and humidity will continue across central and southeast IL through Saturday, with highs in the lower 90s and afternoon heat index values peaking between 98 and 104 degrees each day. Scattered thunderstorms return to the area Thursday, and continue into Saturday. Organized severe weather is not expected at this time, however heavy downpours are possible, especially on Friday.
