This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Heat and humidity will continue across central and southeast IL
today, with highs highs in the lower 90s and afternoon heat index
values peaking between 96 and 103 degrees.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat and humidity will continue across central and southeast IL
through Saturday, with highs in the lower 90s and afternoon heat
index values peaking between 98 and 104 degrees each day.

Scattered thunderstorms return to the area Thursday, and continue
into Saturday. Organized severe weather is not expected at this
time, however heavy downpours are possible, especially on Friday.

Minor flooding on parts of the Illinois River will subside late this
week.

* WHERE...Illinois River at Beardstown.

* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.4 feet, Seepage problems begin in the Coal Creek
  Drainage and Levee District.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM CDT Tuesday was 16.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Sunday morning and continue falling to 12.6 feet
    Tuesday, July 21.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
