Weather hazards expected... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. DISCUSSION... There is a slight chance of thunderstorms south of the Illinois and Kankakee Rivers this afternoon into early this evening. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms toward daybreak Tuesday near the Interstate 39 corridor. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Monday afternoon and early evening... Elevated Thunderstorms risk with an associated: Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Tuesday evening and night... Significant Thunderstorms risk with an associated: Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Saturday... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. DISCUSSION... Scattered thunderstorms are likely Monday, especially during the afternoon and early evening. Conditions will probably become marginally supportive of a couple of the storms briefly becoming severe, mainly between 2 PM and 8 PM. If any storms do become severe, the primary hazards would be hail up to around 1 inch in diameter and wind gusts up to around 60 mph. There is a chance thunderstorms early Tuesday morning, mainly across northern Illinois northwest of Interstate 55. If any storms do occur, the threat of severe weather appears rather low. Additional thunderstorms are likely Tuesday evening into Tuesday night. Some of these storms could become severe, with the highest chances of severe weather near and west of the Interstate 39 corridor. The primary potential severe hazards Tuesday night would be damaging winds and perhaps brief tornadoes. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
