This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Significant Flooding Risk especially along and south of Interstate 80.
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.

DISCUSSION...

Another round of thunderstorms is expected tonight with the
highest coverage favored along and south of Interstate 80.
Torrential rain rates may lead to widespread flash flooding. In
addition, locally damaging winds cannot be ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday...
  Significant Flooding Risk in the morning south of Interstate 80.
Sunday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 1 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
  Limited Flooding Risk.
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out Saturday night into
early Sunday morning. Then, additional storms may occur during the
middle of next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

  Spotters may be needed overnight for flash flooding reports.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM CDT /11 PM EDT/ THIS EVENING
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including Ford, Grundy, Iroquois,
  Kankakee, LaSalle, Livingston, and eastern and southern Will
  Counties. Portions of northwestern Indiana, including Lake, Porter,
  Newton, Jasper, and Benton counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM CDT  /11 PM EDT/ this evening through Saturday
  morning.

* IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of low-lying including ditches and
  farm fields may occur. Widespread roadway flooding may occur. Area
  creeks and rivers may rapidly rise out of their banks. Some
  structures may flood. Some of the flooding may significant and
  locally life threatening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Repeated rounds of torrential rainfall producing thunderstorms in
    the past week have lead to widespread saturated soils and
    standing water in low-lying areas. Another round of torrential
    rainfall producing thunderstorms are expected tonight which may
    lead to widespread flash flooding.
