Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Additional storms are possible overnight into tomorrow morning. Persistent nature of storms overnight could lead to narrow bands of high rainfall amounts and flooding. While severe storms are not expected, some storms will contain gusty winds. Heat indices in the upper 90s to around 100 are expected across much of the area this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Chances for thunderstorms will continue for much of the time into early next week. Locally heavy rain is possible with any storm. Max heat indices in the upper 90s to around 100 are expected again Thursday afternoon, especially across the southern half of the area. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and east central Indiana, including the
following counties, in central Indiana, Howard, Madison and Tipton.
In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry and Randolph.
* WHEN...From midnight EDT tonight through Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Narrow bands of 2 to 4 inches of rain will be possible tonight
through Thursday morning within persistent rounds of
thunderstorms. Locally higher amounts cannot be ruled out.
