Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the region today. Some of the storms could be strong with gusty winds, torrential rainfall and intense cloud to ground lightning. The heavy rainfall expected with these storms could lead to instances of flash flooding across southern Indiana and north central Kentucky. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through the upcoming period. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential rainfall, gusty winds, and lightning. Heavy rainfall rates may lead to localized flash flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... - At 5:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 17.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 19.7 feet this afternoon.
It will then fall to 7.4 feet tomorrow evening. It will rise
to 8.6 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall again
and remain below flood stage.
- Action stage is 18.0 feet.
