This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the region
today. Some of the storms could be strong with gusty winds,
torrential rainfall and intense cloud to ground lightning.
The heavy rainfall expected with these storms could lead to
instances of flash flooding across southern Indiana and north central
Kentucky.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected through the
upcoming period. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing
torrential rainfall, gusty winds, and lightning. Heavy rainfall rates
may lead to localized flash flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

Advisory for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Blue River at Fredericksburg affecting Washington and Harrison
  Counties.

.Heavy rain from the past several days has led to the river rising.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

information.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Blue River at Fredericksburg.

* WHEN...From this morning to tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water covers parts of
  Fredericksburg-Depauw Road near river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 17.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 19.7 feet this afternoon.
    It will then fall to 7.4 feet tomorrow evening. It will rise
    to 8.6 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall again
    and remain below flood stage.
  - Action stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
