...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...

  White River at Newberry.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  White River at Edwardsport.

  White River at Elliston.

  White River at Hazleton.

  White River at Petersburg.

.Heavy rainfall through the first half of this past week of
generally one and a half to two and a half inches has produced minor
flooding on the lower White River. Flooding will continue on parts
of the lower White throughout the upcoming week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low bottomlands flood and flooding begins
  on higher bottomlands.  State Road 257 may begin to flood if
  Shoals gage reading is over 17 feet.  Private levees may be
  overtopped in many cases.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM EDT Sunday /9:45 AM CDT Sunday/ the stage was
    18.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:45 AM EDT Sunday /9:45 AM CDT Sunday/ was 19.0
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.5
    feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Edwardsport.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Flooding closes Old Vincennes Road.  High
  water crosses SR 358 on the Daviess County side just west of the
  levee.  Flooding begins to affect higher bottomlands.  Residential
  property of river cabins begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM EDT Sunday /6:00 AM CDT Sunday/ the stage was 17.1
    feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 AM EDT Sunday /6:00 AM CDT Sunday/ was 17.1
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.4
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
