A slight risk of severe storms exists this afternoon into tonight, with damaging winds the primary severe weather hazard to expect. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday The heat index may again reach into the triple digits across our southern counties bordering Arkansas and Tennessee Monday afternoon. At least some small chance of thunderstorms appears in the forecast almost daily thru Friday. Heavy rain and lightning are the primary hazards to expect. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Today will see similar numbers, as actual air temperatures top out from the mid 90s to near 100 degrees again. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
