This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Heat indices at or above 105 degrees are expected again this
afternoon across portions of south central and southeast Kansas.

Additional thunderstorms will develop late this afternoon and
evening across portions of central and south central Kansas. A few
strong and severe storms will be possible with wind gusts to around
60 mph and locally heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Heat indices in the 105 to 110 degree range are expected again on
Sunday across far southeast Kansas.

Thunderstorms will remain possible on Sunday and Monday, with
western and central Kansas having the best coverage. A few strong
storms will be possible through the period.

Heat indices between 100-105 degrees are expected to return on
Tuesday afternoon and early evening across much of central and
eastern Kansas.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.
