This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today

Strong southwest winds will affect southeast Kansas this afternoon
and early evening. See latest wind advisory for additional
information.

Very high grassland fire danger is expected across the Flint Hills
and south central Kansas this afternoon and early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Chances for storms increase for Sunday night and more so Monday. In
addition, severe storm chances are also increasing for Monday
afternoon and evening, especially for areas east of Interstate 135.

Very high grassland fire danger is expected across portions of the
area Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, mainly during the afternoon.

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.

CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.

* WHERE...Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery,
  Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
