This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive heat risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorm chances will
redevelop later this afternoon/evening. There is a Marginal risk
(1/5) for severe weather and Slight risk for excessive rainfall
(2/4), with the main threats being damaging wind gusts up to 60
mph and heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Non-severe thunderstorms on Friday mainly east of I-49. A 15%
chance for pop-up thunderstorms over the far east this weekend.
Lightning and locally heavy rainfall are likely where storms do
form.

Temperatures gradually increase into the low to mid 90s through
the weekend, with maximum heat index values up to 100-
105 degrees. By the middle of next week, high temperatures in the
mid to upper 90s are possible, along with maximum heat index
values up to around 100-110 degrees. Heat headlines may be
needed.
