.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Light snow will continue today through tonight with accumulations
ranging from around 1 inch to as much as 2 inches near the
Oklahoma border. Wind chills tonight will fall back to around -15.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Wind chills will once again fall back to around -15 for Monday
morning. A quick moving wave could bring some light snow during
the night Sunday with accumulations generally under 1 inch.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west
  central Kansas.

* WHEN...Until noon CST /11 AM MST/ Monday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero
  could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not
  taken. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west
  central Kansas.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
