This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Very high grassland fire danger is expected this afternoon for
locations generally along and east of the Kansas turnpike.

Patchy fog is possible late tonight generally west of a line from
Salina to Hutchinson to Anthony. The fog could reduce visibilities
to between 1 to 2 miles.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Very high grassland fire danger is expected area-wide on Friday

There is a slight chance for thunderstorms across southeast Kansas
on Friday and across central and southeast Kansas early Friday
night. A locally strong storm is possible Friday evening.

Periodic thunderstorm chances look to return on Sunday through early
next week, especially across south central and southeast Kansas. A
few strong storms will be possible.


Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
