TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values around 110
  to 115 expected.

* WHERE...Cowley, Harper, Sumner, Chautauqua, Elk, Labette,
  Montgomery, Neosho, and Wilson Counties.

* WHEN...From noon to 8 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.

Heat indices around 105 degrees are expected areawide through early

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Heat indices between 105 and 115 degrees are possible across south-
central and southeast Kansas Tuesday afternoon into the early
evening. See latest heat advisory and extreme heat warning for
additional details.

Periodic thunderstorm chances may return Wednesday night through
Friday night.

Heat indices greater than 100 degrees are possible again on
Saturday and Sunday.
