While most locations will likely remain thunderstorm- free, a few isolated severe thunderstorms capable of 60 to 70 mph winds and golfball size hail are possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Heat indices ranging from 100 to 105 degrees will impact portions of south-central and southeast Kansas Wednesday. Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are expected Wednesday late afternoon and evening, with the greatest chances generally along and east to southeast of the Kansas Turnpike. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary risks, along with pockets of heavy rainfall. Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms are possible late Wednesday night through at least midday Thursday. There is a risk for strong to marginally severe thunderstorms with this activity, along with heavy rainfall and associated localized flooding concerns.
