MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...A winter storm is expected to bring moderate to major
  impacts to central Kentucky and southern Indiana this weekend.
  Periods of moderate to heavy snow are forecast this weekend with
  the possibility of a wintry mix of snow and sleet across southern
  Kentucky.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north
  central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From early Saturday morning through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan for considerable disruptions to daily life, Be
  prepared for dangerous travel conditions and ready to avoid travel
  if possible.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A mix of light snow and freezing rain this morning could cause slick
and hazard travel conditions during the morning commute. A glaze of
ice is possible in far southern Indiana and in central Kentucky north
of the Cumberland Parkway.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

A significant winter storm is expected this weekend. Heavy snow and
cold temperatures are possible, but forecast confidence in snowfall
amounts and detailed timing remains low.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
