Showers and thunderstorms will move across the area this afternoon and evening. The main threat with thunderstorms will be heavy rainfall and lightning, though gusty winds and small hail are also possible in the strongest storms. Flash flooding is possible where the heaviest rainfall occurs. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Additional waves of showers and storms will continue this weekend. Heavy rainfall leading to localized flooding will be the primary threat. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY: Storms will move from southwest to northeast at 20 to 30 mph.
