This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Tonight, with temperatures dropping into the single digits to mid
teens, breezy cold northerly winds will drop wind chill values to
near 0 to -10.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A significant winter storm is expected this weekend. Major impacts
from heavy snow and a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain are
possible along with very cold temperatures.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to report snow, sleet, and freezing rain
totals to the National Weather Service in Louisville.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 10 below expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north
  central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening to noon EST /11 AM
  CST/ Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could result
  in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/
SATURDAY TO 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow mixed with sleet and freezing rain along and
  south of the Bluegrass and Western Kentucky Parkways. South of the
  Parkways, storm total snow and sleet of 4 to 10 inches, with total
  ice amounts up to a half an inch. Localized areas across southern
  or eastern Kentucky could see up to three quarters of an inch.
  Across southern Indiana and north central Kentucky, mainly snow,
  heavy at times. Total snow accumulations between 10 and 15 inches.
  Localized higher amounts of snow and sleet possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north
  central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ Saturday to 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/
  Monday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice.
  Travel could be nearly impossible.
