A strong cold front will approach the region from the northwest later today, resulting a gusty southwest winds. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph are likely across south central Kentucky from mid-morning through mid-afternoon. Strong wind gusts could result in scattered minor tree damage and displacement of loose outdoor items. Travel may also be difficult for high profile vehicles. $$ CSG

Gusty southwest winds are expected today, with widespread wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph likely. A Wind Advisory was issued across northern Kentucky and southern Indiana where 40 to 50 mph wind gusts are expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. A strong storm system will move across the region Sunday night into Monday morning. A line of strong to severe storms is expected just ahead of a powerful cold front, with damaging straight-line winds and spin-up tornadoes being possible within this line of storms. Confidence is still somewhat limited on the magnitude of the severe threat, especially east of I-65. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
