Heavy rain and gusty to damaging winds are the main threats from these. Heavy rain falling repeatedly over the same locations could lead to flash flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Thunderstorms are expected at times from Friday through Wednesday, especially during afternoon and evening hours. In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms could train repeatedly over the same locations through Friday. Where this occurs, localized rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are possible and could lead to flash flooding.
