This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Arkansas, for
northern Louisiana, for eastern Texas and southeast Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

A Heat Advisory is in effect today with afternoon highs averaging
in the upper 90s. When combined with the humidity, the heat index
will range from 105 and 110 degrees. If you have to be outside,
wear light colored, light weight, and loose fitting clothing;
drink plenty of water before, during and after exposure to the
heat; and finally, try to limit the time spent in the heat with
frequent shade breaks or sometime in air conditioning. There will
be a chance for afternoon and early evening showers and
thunderstorms, coverage will be isolated in our North to scattered
across our South.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

The hot summer weather will continue, but an increase in clouds
will help to take edge off as scattered showers and thunderstorms
increase in coverage over the weekend as well. A weak cool front
will approach and help to focus and lift the Gulf moisture over
our four state area. We can also expect that a weak low area of
broad low pressure over the Gulf coast will help to keep the air
muggy, good for developing some heavier rainfall totals this
weekend. The heat will build once again as the front moves back
Northward early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Activation of emergency management personnel, amateur radio
operators and storm spotters will not be needed through tonight.
