This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Gulf of Mexico,
southeast Louisiana, southeast Mississippi, and southern
Mississippi.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Freezing temperatures are expected late tonight, mainly north of
the Interstate 10 and 12 corridor, west of Interstate 59 and River
Parishes. Therefore, a Freeze Warning has been issued for these
areas. In addition, wind chill values will be in the upper 20s for
the entire area.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect this afternoon through tonight
for open Gulf waters beyond 20 miles.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Freezing temperatures are expected early Thursday morning, but
should quickly moderate after mid-morning with no additional
hazards expected

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through 3pm Thursday for open
Gulf waters beyond 20 miles.

...COLD CONDITIONS TO CONTINUE TONIGHT...

A cold front has ushered the coldest air of the season into
southeast Louisiana. With clearing skies expected overnight, low
temperatures are expected to be in the mid 30s to around 40 for
much of the south shore and lower portions of the southeast
Louisiana coastal parishes. While sub-freezing temperatures are
not forecast for this area, north winds that will be around 10 mph
will bring wind chill factors into the upper 20s to mid 30s
tonight. Those people spending any significant amount of time
outdoors should be prepared for the much colder weather tonight.
