This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern Connecticut, central
Massachusetts, eastern Massachusetts, northeastern Massachusetts,
southeastern Massachusetts, western Massachusetts and northern
Rhode Island.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

   Winter Weather Advisory.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A mixture of snow, sleet, and rain develops Saturday night and
changes to rain by Sunday morning. Ice accumulation is possible
during this time.

Strong northwest winds develop for Sunday night and Monday.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
  of up to two inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth
  of an inch expected.

* WHERE...Northern Connecticut, all of Massachusetts east of the
  Berkshires and west of the Cape Cod Canal, and all of Rhode
  Island except Block Island.

* WHEN...Light snow transitioning to sleet and freezing rain by 1
  AM. Precipitation changes to rain along the coast and across
  the southeast interior by 3 AM.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
