Snow accumulations will range from a coating over the southern and southwest suburbs of Washington DC, to 2 or 3 inches over northeastern Maryland. * WHERE...Washington DC, and portions of central, north-central, northeast, and northern Maryland, and northern Virginia. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain or a rain/snow mix will change to all snow by around daybreak, with the highest accumulations in the northwest suburbs. A light glaze of ice from spotty freezing is possible over northern and northeastern Maryland early this morning. After a lull from late morning through early afternoon, additional snow falls in the afternoon mainly east of Interstate 95. Visibility may drop to less than one mile at times.
