...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT WEST CENTRAL HOWARD AND
NORTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTIES...

At 733 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Damascus,
moving northeast at 15 mph.

Gusts of 40 to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Germantown, Damascus, Montgomery Village, Clarksburg and
Laytonsville.

Locally heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may
cause ponding of water on roadways and cause small streams to go out
of their banks. Be alert for the potential of standing water and
hydroplaning.

An isolated instance of flooding due to heavy rain from
thunderstorms is possible this afternoon and evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Heavy rain from showers and thunderstorms may produce scattered
incidents of flooding Thursday afternoon and evening.

Isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and large hail
are also possible Thursday afternoon and evening.
