...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Maryland, The District of Columbia, Virginia, and
  panhandle West Virginia, including the following areas, in
  Maryland, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Central and Southeast Howard,
  Central and Southeast Montgomery, Frederick MD, Northern
  Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Northwest Howard, Northwest
  Montgomery, Prince Georges, Southeast Harford, Southern
  Baltimore, and Washington. The District of Columbia. In
  Virginia, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Clarke, Eastern
  Loudoun, Fairfax, Frederick VA, Prince
  William/Manassas/Manassas Park, and Western Loudoun. In
  panhandle West Virginia, Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan.

* From 3 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight

* Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms capable of
  producing heavy rainfall are likely. Areal average rainfall of 1
  to 2 inches is expected, with isolated totals of 4 inches
  possible. Much of this rain may fall in short periods of time in
  any one given location, resulting in the risk for flash flooding
  this afternoon and tonight.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern West Virginia,
northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland
with the exception of Garrett County.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for portions of the
eastern West Virginia panhandle, portions of northern and central
Virginia, and northern and central Maryland until 9 PM EDT this
evening.

A Heat Advisory is in effect until 9 PM EDT this evening for the
remainder of central Virginia including the central and northern
Shenandoah Valley, and portions of eastern West Virginia and
western Maryland.

Scattered thunderstorms will be capable of producing isolated damaging
wind gusts late this afternoon and tonight. Locally heavy rain
may lead to isolated instances of flooding as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect Monday afternoon through Monday
night for the eastern West Virginia panhandle, portions of
northern and northwestern Virginia, and northern and central
Maryland including the Washington DC and Baltimore MD metro areas.

Thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening may produce damaging
wind gusts, especially east of Interstate 81.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed later this afternoon and
evening, and is likely Monday afternoon and evening.
