...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation changing to heavy snow. Ice
  accumulations around one tenth of an inch possible in Marquette
  and Baraga Counties. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8
  inches, greatest in the high terrain of Marquette County and in
  the Keweenaw Peninsula. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph,
  strongest in the Keweenaw Peninsula and near Lake Superior.

* WHERE...Baraga, Marquette, Keweenaw, and Northern Houghton
  Counties.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty
  winds could bring down tree branches. Wet snow and gusty winds may
  cause sporadic power outages.

...PATCHY DENSE FREEZING FOG EARLY TONIGHT...

Patchy dense fog is being observered this evening across portions
of the Keweenaw, north-central, and eastern U.P. Drivers can
expect visibilities less than 0.25 miles at times into tonight.
Untreated roadways may be slick in spots due to freezing fog.

Drivers are reminded to use low beam headlights, drive at
appropriate speeds for conditions, and increase following distance
between vehicles.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper
Michigan and western Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Areas of fog and freezing fog dissipate through daybreak.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Some patchy freezing rain or freezing drizzle is possible in the
eastern UP Monday morning, but significant ice accumulations are
not expected.

Confidence is growing that an impactful winter storm will move
into the Great Lakes region Tuesday night through at least
Wednesday. Potential impacts include heavy snow, strong winds, and
possible mixed precipitation, depending on the track and strength of
the system.

The need for weather spotter reports is not anticipated at this
time.
