...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
  between 2 and 3 feet, locally higher amounts up to 4 feet
  possible. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph, strongest near Lake
  Superior.

* WHERE...Baraga and Marquette Counties.

* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be treacherous and potentially
  life-threatening. Widespread blowing snow and heavy snowfall rates
  will significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could cause
  tree damage and result in power outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per
  hour are expected much of the day today. Strongest winds late this
  afternoon into Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

...LAKESHORE FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS
EVENING TO 2 AM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Significant lakeshore flooding expected with wave heights
  of 20 to 30 feet possible.

* WHERE...Marquette County.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads closed and low lying property
  including parking lots, lawns, and homes and businesses will
  be inundated near the lake. Some shoreline erosion will occur.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper
Michigan and western Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Potentially historic blizzard is expected today. This will create
treacherous and potentially life-threatening travel conditions
and could result in tree damage and power outages. Snow amounts of
1-3 feet are expected (locally up to 4 feet north- central and
eastern U.P.) with wind speeds of 35-65 mph. Strongest winds are
expected beginning this afternoon in the Keweenaw Peninsula and
along the lakeshores of Lake Superior.

Large waves on the Great Lakes increase the risk of beach erosion
and lakeshore flooding for all Lake Superior lakeshores beginning
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Potentially historic blizzard continues through Monday night.
This will create treacherous and potentially life-threatening
travel conditions and could result in tree damage and power
outages. Additional snow amounts of 3-9 inches are expected with
wind speeds of 35-65 mph. Strongest winds are expected for the
Keweenaw Peninsula and along the lakeshores of Lake Superior.

Large waves on the Great Lakes increase the risk of beach erosion
and lakeshore flooding for all Lake Superior lakeshores Monday.
