...ELEVATED WILDFIRE POTENTIAL FOR ALL OF UPPER MICHIGAN THIS
AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING DUE TO A COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS
AND VERY DRY CONDITIONS...

Gusty easterly winds as high as 20 to 35 mph combined with very
dry humidities will lead to elevated wildfire potential across
Upper Michigan.

Avoid outdoor burning today. Immediately report any wildfires
to local emergency services by calling 911.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper
Michigan and western Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected today, especially
across the western UP where easterly wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph
are possible late in the day. Warm, dry, and windy conditions will
persist until the arrival of rain showers late. Burn restrictions
are in effect. For more information, see the Special Weather

East-southeast winds gusting up to 45 mph are expected tonight on
the Keweenaw Peninsula. For more information, see the Wind
Advisory.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
