This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered severe storms are possible today, especially through
early afternoon. Main hazards will be damaging winds, large hail,
and frequent lightning.

High swim risks are also in place for many northern Michigan

A stretch of dangerously hot and muggy weather begins this
afternoon. Please see the latest heat advisory for additional
details.

Dangerously hot and muggy weather is expected through Monday.

Dangerous swim conditions are expected on some beaches of northern
Lake Michigan again on Sunday. Please see the latest beach hazard

Air quality advisories are in effect on Sunday for the Lake
Michigan coastline due to high levels of ozone. Please see the

Additional chances for thunderstorms are expected at various times
Monday night through Friday.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...High temperatures around 90 today, increasing to the lower
  and middle 90s Sunday. Low temperatures will only drop into the
  70s tonight. Combination of heat and humidity will result in heat
  indices of 95 to 104 degrees, especially during the afternoon
  Sunday.

* WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
