This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Rain showers and a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and
evening could bring minor flooding to portions of Central Lower
Michigan.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Persistent rains could result in flooding this week. Strong to
severe thunderstorms are possible between Monday night and Tuesday
night.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Michigan, including
  the following counties, in central Michigan, Clare, Mecosta and
  Osceola. In west central Michigan, Lake, Mason, Newaygo and Oceana.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Roadways with low-water crossings may become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms in the area through Sunday night
    are expected to produce another inch of rain in portions of
    the watch area. Additional thunderstorms Monday night through
    Tuesday night are possible and could increase the potential
    for flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood

  Muskegon River Near Croton affecting Newaygo County.

  Muskegon River at Bridgeton affecting Newaygo County.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and be prepared for possible flood warnings.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING TO EARLY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Muskegon River at Evart.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Expect significant flooding in the area of
  M-66 and 9 Mile, impacting homes in the Jefferies, Doc and Tom,
  and Wildlife Shores subdivisions. Minor flooding of homes in low
  lying areas along Timberlane Drive, and River Road between 80th
  Avenue and M-66 also occurs. High water levels also begin to
  impact the Evart Water Treatment Plant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 10.2 feet.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
