.A dry and warmer weather pattern into early next week will allow
the rivers to crest and then fall with little significant flooding.
Snowmelt runoff in the Chippewa and Muskegon River basins will cause
minor rises in river levels over the next few days. The following
forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
A flood advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are
forecast to exceed bankfull. If you are in the advisory area remain

* Current observed data was not available. The river level was
estimated to be around 10.6 feet on Friday morning.
* Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river level will continue to fall.
* Impact, at 10.0 feet...River is bankfull. Expect flooding of low
lying areas adjacent to the banks.
