...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following
  county, Wayne.

* WHEN...Until 315 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1211 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Taylor, Dearborn, Wyandotte, Dearborn Heights, Lincoln Park,
    Southgate, Allen Park, Melvindale, Ecorse and River Rouge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected today, with increasing coverage
during the afternoon and evening. Storms will be pulse to multicell
mode, tracking east at around 15 to 25 mph. The strongest storms will
be capable of producing isolated wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph, small
hail, and torrential downpours leading to localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

There is a chance of thunderstorms on Saturday, some of which may be
strong, as a cold front moves through the region.
