Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches, mainly along and west of I-75. Locally higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will lead to blowing snow. * WHERE...Antrim, Charlevoix, Crawford, Kalkaska, and Otsego Counties. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The combination of gusty winds and falling snow will lead to blowing snow and very low visibilities. Hazardous to potentially dangerous driving conditions are expected under the most robust snow bands. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly.
