Scattered strong snow showers developed this afternoon and will persist into this evening. Expect changing visibility and road conditions in snow showers. Visibility will drop to 1/2 to 1/4 mile or less in the heavy snow showers over the span of minutes. Snow will quickly accumulate on roads during the heavy snow showers making driving conditions slippery. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads and changing visibility. Temperatures are falling rapidly, and wind chills will plunge to between 40 and 60 degrees below zero. Scattered snow showers this afternoon may cause slippery roads and reduced visibility. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Dangerous cold persists through Saturday morning. An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect for the entire region until noon Saturday. Wind chills will remain in the 30s to 50s below zero range.
