Weather hazards expected... Limited excessive cold risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. Significant fire weather risk. DISCUSSION... A Wind Advisory is in effect until 7 AM Monday morning for northwest winds 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 to 50 miles per hour. Very cold air moved into the area overnight, and low temperatures in the teens paired with the gusty winds will bring morning wind chills to near and slightly below zero. Overnight freeze is nearly guaranteeed for any early season or sensitive crops. This afternoon, elevated to significant fire weather risk is expected in southeast Kansas and western Missouri despite the cool temperatures. Afternoon humidity values in the 20-30% range, 15-20 mph winds, and frequent gusts up to 25-30 mph are expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Very cold again Monday night into Tuesday morning, with lows in the teens and 5-15 degree wind chills to start Tuesday morning again.
