Weather hazards expected... Limited excessive heat risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. DISCUSSION... Breezy south to southwesterly winds will occur again today. Gusts up to around 20 to 30 mph will occur at times, especially along and west of Highway 65 and a few localized gusts up to 35 mph may be possible. Heat index values of 95 to near 105 degrees are expected across the area this afternoon. A Heat Advisory remains in effect for portions of east central Kansas to central and south-central Missouri through this evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Heat index values in the middle 90s to around 100 degrees will occur Monday through the middle of the week.
