Weather hazards expected... Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk. Elevated lightning risk. Elevated excessive heat risk. Limited excessive rainfall risk DISCUSSION... Scattered showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected today, mainly across the eastern Ozarks this afternoon and tonight. The stronger storms will be capable of wind gusts up to 60 mph and intense rainfall rates. The heavy rain may lead to a localized flooding risk. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Temperatures gradually increase into the low to mid 90s through the weekend, with maximum heat index values up to 100 to 105 degrees. By the middle of next week, high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s are possible, along with maximum heat index values up to around 100-110 degrees.
