There is a slight risk (level 2 of 4) of excessive rainfall and a
marginal risk (level 1 of 5) of severe thunderstorms across central
North Carolina today, mainly mid-afternoon through the evening.
Heavy rainfall rates may lead to localized flooding in urban and
poor-drainage areas. The strongest thunderstorms may have gusty winds
that may blow down trees.
