Hot temperatures and high humidity are expected Wednesday and Thursday, with heat index values peaking in the lower to mid 90s, leading to an elevated risk of heat-related illnesses. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday into Thursday as a series of disturbances track through the region.
