This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Strong northwest winds gusting at 50 to 60 mph will gradually
subside after midnight to 30 to 35 mph. Expect areas of patchy
blowing snow which will lead to localized visibility drop outs. The
cold temperatures will lead to lingering moisture and precipitation
freezing to area roads, resulting in areas of black ice. Use caution
if you must travel.

Frigid wind chills will impact the area overnight into early Monday,
with values expected in the 10 below to 25 degrees below zero range.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Areas of black ice will linger into Monday morning affecting the
morning commute. Frigid wind chills in the 10 to -23F range will
also persist through Monday morning.

There will be a 40-65% chance for light snow Tuesday across
northeast Nebraska into west-central Iowa before changing over to
rain in the afternoon/evening. A few areas along the Nebraska and
South Dakota border may see a brief period of freezing rain.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time, but any snowfall
reports are always appreciated.
