* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Accumulating snow returns tonight as a winter system tracks through
the region. Snowfall up to 3 inches is possible in locations along
and north of US-20. Winter headlines are now in effect for portions
of northern Nebraska where the highest snowfall accumulations are
expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Gusty winds return on Sunday with gusts up to 70 mph across portions
of southwest and north central Nebraska. These winds combined with
falling snow across northern Nebraska will create areas of blowing
and drifting snow as well as reduced visibility. A High Wind Warning
is now in effect for the entire forecast area.

Wind chill values will drop into the 15 to 19 below zero range across
northern Nebraska on Sunday night and into Monday morning.

  MDT/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
