This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

A strong cold front will move northwest to southeast across the
area between through the mid morning hours. In the wake of this
front, north winds will likely gust to at least 40-45 MPH for at
least a few hours. Northerly winds gusting up to 40mph will remain
possible through the afternoon hours.

Clearing skies and decreasing winds will allow temperatures to
fall near to slightly below freezing tonight. Areas most favored
to see sub freezing temperatures will be along and northwest of a
line from Stockton, Kansas to Osceola, Nebraska. A Freeze Watch is
in effect for these areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Near to below freezing temperatures are possible across the area
Saturday morning, coldest for central and northwestern portions of
the area under a Freeze Watch. Another round of sub freezing
temperatures is possible Saturday night into Sunday morning.

At least near- critical fire weather conditions are forecast
within at least portions of our forecast area each afternoon from
Saturday into the middle of next week. The days of greatest
concern for potentially Red Flag conditions currently appear to
be Saturday and Monday.
