.A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will continue
through Wednesday as a broad trough develops over the western
United States keeping the flow over New Mexico dry and windy. The
strongest winds and critically low relative humidity values today
will favor the central mountain chain and northeast highlands
westward. Then, relative humidity will plummet over eastern areas
as well on Monday. Strong winds on Monday will develop first over
eastern areas, then linger longest over eastern areas in the
evening as well.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West Central
  Mountains (Zone 105), and West Central Basin and Range (Zone
  109) today from noon until 10 PM MDT, Monday from 10 AM until
  10 PM, and Tuesday from 11 AM until 11 PM.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts
  up to 55 mph. On Monday, west and northwest 20 to 30 mph with
  gusts up to 40 mph. On Tuesday, west 25 to 35 mph with gusts
  up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8-18 percent, except 7-12 percent on
  Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
  and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme
  fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be
  done.
