AFTERNOON...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

The risk of flooding along rivers and creeks that drain the Tug Hill
Plateau will continue today, with high flows then lasting through
next weekend.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

   Winter Storm Watch.

Another period of strong winds are possible later Friday afternoon
through Friday night, with gusts over 45 mph possible.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 7 inches
  or more possible across the Tug Hill Plateau and western
  Adirondacks. Much lesser amounts expected across the lower
  elevations. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Friday evening commute. Gusty winds could down
  tree branches and cause isolated power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Begin needed preparations at home or with your vehicle. Travel may
become difficult, so plan accordingly.
