This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western and north central New
York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

   Winter Weather Advisory.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is a potential for a major winter storm late Saturday into
Sunday. There is a risk for heavy accumulating snow with strong
winds that could result in blowing and drifting snow.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Freezing drizzle producing a light glaze of icing.
  Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga,
  Northern Erie, Genesee, Livingston, and Ontario counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST this morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Untreated roads and other paved surfaces
  will be very slippery and hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Periods of freezing drizzle will result in very slippery
conditions on untreated roads and other paved surfaces. Slow down
and use caution while driving.
