...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING
THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Lake-effect snow today. More widespread and possibly
  heavy snow Thursday into Friday. Additional snow accumulations
  of 1 to 3 inches today, perhaps bringing lake-effect storm
  totals to as much as 4 to 7 inches by late this afternoon.
  Total snow accumulations from Thursday morning through early
  Friday afternoon of as much as 7 or 8 inches possible.

* WHERE...Southern Cayuga and Onondaga Counties, particularly
  the higher terrain to the south of Auburn and Syracuse.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 4 PM EST this
  afternoon. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday morning
  through Friday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
  commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
to monitor the latest forecasts.
