This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Sunday into Monday.
Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and torrential
downpours, with isolated to scattered instances of flash flooding
possible due to slow moving or training thunderstorms.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures. Please relay
any information about severe weather to the NWS.

* WHAT...Heat index values Around 95 in spots.

* WHERE...Broome, Chemung, Madison, Onondaga, Schuyler, Seneca,
  Southern Cayuga, Southern Oneida, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, and
  Yates Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
