This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut and
the mid Hudson Valley, the eastern Catskills and Schoharie Valley,
and southern Taconics of eastern New York.

Freezing rain will be possible late Saturday night into early Sunday
across portions of the eastern Catskills, Litchfield Hills and
southern Taconics.

Strong winds will be possible late Sunday into Monday. Should the
potential for strong winds increase further, then appropriate wind
statements will be issued.

AFTERNOON TO 7 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
  of up to two inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth
  of an inch expected.

* WHERE...Northwestern Connecticut and the mid Hudson Valley,
  southern Taconics, eastern Catskills, and Schoharie Valley of
  east central New York.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening
  and Thursday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
